What is Reiki?
Rooted in the Usui lineage, Reiki is a gentle hands-on practice that supports the body's natural capacity for restoration. It offers a quiet space where the nervous system can settle, where the body can soften, and where physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual experiences are welcomed with curiosity and care.
Reiki is not something I do to you.
It is something we create space for together — an invitation to slow down, to listen deeply, and to reconnect with the quiet wisdom that already exists within you.
As a Reiki Master and Registered Acupuncturist, I often weave Reiki into acupuncture or qigong-based sessions when it feels supportive to the person in front of me. At other times, Reiki stands beautifully on its own.
Every treatment is unique because every person arrives with a different story.
What Might Reiki Support?
People seek Reiki for many different reasons. Some come because life feels overwhelming. Others simply long for a deeper sense of rest.
Reiki may be particularly supportive during times of:
-
Emotional overwhelm, anxiety, or burnout
-
Chronic stress and nervous system dysregulation
-
Fatigue or energetic depletion
-
Grief, loss, or life transitions
-
Feeling disconnected from yourself or your inner knowing
-
A desire for deep rest, reflection, and reconnection
Every experience is different. Some people notice warmth. Others describe spaciousness, deep stillness, or a sense of being gently held. Some simply enjoy an hour where nothing is asked of them. There is no right way to experience Reiki.
The Permission...
You don't need to believe in energy for it to work.
You only need a willingness to receive — to soften, to open, and to be met exactly where you are.
Whether you understand Reiki as energy medicine, profound rest, or simply the experience of compassionate presence, you are welcome here.
Perhaps healing begins with permission.
